Welcome

Connect4 is an exciting art show by 4 talented emerging artists (Erica Coulehan, Claire Howlett, Louise Pallister and Cat Croxford) whose lives have been interlinked by different strands.

We've have come together to present our latest works in a one off exhibition. Each artist brings a unique talent and contribution to the show. Over the years friendships and mentoring have helped them flourish and develop our own styles, and now in a celebration of our empowerment and creativity, we've have organised our own show.

Images and comments about the show

"well worth a visit for artists and collectors alike" - Henley Standard Art critic

"inspiring"... " Something good at last!" - visitors to the show

At our first group show, we managed to sell several works of art, take some commissions and discussed some future opportunities. Everyone praised the quality of the work and we're even planning another show!

Still time to visit

The show is now open and will be until Wednesday 27th October. We've had some great responses from visitors and the press about the quality of the work, and will add some photos and reviews later.

So head down to the Old Fire Station Gallery (behind the town hall) , Henley on Thames, Oxfordshire.

Especially for the show

As Louise has sold a couple of her greyhound paintings in the past couple of months, she's produced some more especially for the show, of which this is one. She's also produced some pictures of other animals including geese, a goat, a peacock and some sharks! Definitely something to get your teeth into there.

At the Private View on Thursday 21st October we will have professional harpist Jenny Dove playing. Jenny has played internationally with orchestras so this is a rare chance to hear Jenny play solo and we're all looking forward to it!
We're open from 5.30pm to approx. 7.30pm that evening.

Examples from Louise

In Louise’s paintings and drawings she tries to convey an animal’s movement, shape and an expression of their energy.  Louise is already a sought-after artist who is currently represented by a major northern gallery, and sold her first work there within days of it arriving.

Louise has also been selected as a finalist for the hotly contended 2010 Cork Street Open Exhibition in London.

Examples by Claire

Claire recently started painting again after many years working in the film industry with stunt horses. The contained strength, power and beauty of the horses is the inspiration behind Claire’s vibrant and contemporary equine images.
